For crying out loud! I have almost had enough of all you stupid noobs ASKING me if you can use my FAKEMON for your stupid fan games that you'll NEVER finish ANYWAY, and your stupid MANGAs and COMICs that will never even be completed!!!! YEAH! All your ideas are great but CAN YOU LISTEN TO ME for once in your life, and show a little bit of respect!? here i go.. and you better read all of this, because if you don't i'll know and i WONT be happy!!!!
Okay! First of all, im going to crack it with all of you who continually ask me if you can use my fakemon! Firstly... THEY ARE MY DESIGNS!!!! that means, it is MY art! My concepts... You can't just stroll into ANYONE's Deviantart account (gallery), or any other WEB art gallery and simply ask the artist.. "Hey, can i use your painting, or Photograph for my collection?" or "Hey, can i use your concepts and label it as my own work?"!!! You morons JUST CAN'T DO THAT!!!! that is called stealing, or art thief? It just CANNOT be done!
Most artists would say "NO!" flat out, because as an artist, we are obliged to have our right to keep our work as ORIGINAL and UNIQUE!
However, i guess, FAKE POKEMON, is just a little different.
YES, a group of Japanese guys did create "Pocket Monster" around 10 years ago. And i guess, FAN ART isn't too UNIQUE or original. There are hundreds and hundreds of people out in the world creating "FAN-MADE" Pokémon, games and comics! YES! we call these FAKE-MON, and fake games.. etc. But aren't we entitled to our own unique designs and original ideas too? just like a photographer. Let's see.. i am sure, 100s of people have photographed the same mountain. Does that mean that Just because i photographed the same mountain as 20 other people on DA, i have the right to use their photos? IT DOES NOT GIVE ME THE RIGHT AT ALL!!!!
SOOOO.. why should it give YOU nerds the right to use my character designs?... yes, a few of you asked me initially in the beginning, and if you remembered, i said NO, for this reason (that i wanted to remain a unique and original artist/designer). But i am a really kind, generous person! I decided that you could use some of my designs after you continually asked me (WHEN I HAD SAID NO already several times!!!!!)... that is honestly just really really rude and inconsiderate!
And even now, after i let you use ALL previously designed fakemon... it seems, "OH! HEY CAS'... that's not enough for us!" I decide to create a Supreme Evolution concept, and some new Pokémon (i.e. EPITAR).. i initially released this design with "YOU CAN NOT USE THIS FAKEMON" written several times underneath... DID THAT MESSAGE SINK IN? APPARENTLY NOT!!!! I got 20 or so notes in the first few days after releasing it, asking if poeple could use the designs! ARE YOU ALL FREAKING BLIND? How seriously stupid can you possibly be? I clearly stated that you could not use this design?
so... knowing my kind nature.. i let you use the design? AND WAIT... that STILL wasn't enough!
"HEY CAS! can i use your Supreme Evolution concept for my Manga, for my fan game..." DO YOU ALL REALIZE HOW ANGRY THIS MAKES ME????? YOU JUST CAN'T DO THAT!!!!!!!
i have seriously had enough.... from NOW on... i do not want to see ANY of my designs, or CONCEPTS seen in ANY of your junk!!! that includes your stupid fan games, and your mangas!!! I have simply had enough of your crap!!!! I am at the point were i cannot even be bothered drawing anymore, because the second i put it in my gallery, im going to have a hundred notes asking me for the design...
SHOW SOME RESPECT, and give an artist their right to having Unique and Original designs and concepts... I will simply report you if i find you using my designs and concepts, and if you even ask me.. I will report you too, because you just can't do that to an artist...? it's totally insane!!!! Thanks for making my day everyone...

with that said i think you should take a BIG step back. yes you have amazing ideas and designs but you are not better then anyone else on DA nor is your work. This is what i have a problem with

our art is just as good as yours. we spend just as much time working on it and creating it as you did your art. Our stuff is not junk, it is not stupid and it is not crap. if our stuff is crap then i would say your work is on the same level. you aren't
a god or really anything special you are just another fan/nerd drawing fake Pokemon
You're such a great artist and you deserve your art to be unique and all: it's your work, your art.
You're allready being very generous by showing it to the rest of the world, sharing with us some amazing things.
That's a lot to hand out.
So I ask you, please, don't let them get to you, like they got to magespages/pokepages; that would be terrible!
And I mean that! They've hurt him in ways they can't possibly begin to comprehend...So I'm glad you're speaking up for yourself, and thereby speaking up for everyone who agrees with you.

Personally I just take the "whatever" approach to people trying to use my work for stuff.
In the end, if your name is big enough, you won't exactly stop them from doing it, so I simply set up two rules;
1. Give specific credit to me for making the art.
2. Under no circumstances use it for commercial purposes unless you have direct permission.
I used to flat out say "no" earlier on, but that eventually just led to flat out thieving & people who weren't even "polite" enough to ask using them, rather than people willing to at least ask.
I'll say that me growing out of the whole fakémon community may be a big reason why I take it a lot less personal, though,so my stance may not fully work for you.
I can tell you this much though, I have very strong doubts that you'll stop getting requests just by posting this journal, knowing the typical fakémon community folk, so I have strong doubts if it'll be healthy for you in the end if you get into ragefits over people asking.
Personally I [i]only[/i] get "upset" with people when they pull stuff like acting like they made my work.
The other case is after me declining whatever they ask, they act as if I should be happy/proud that someone'd want to use my work in their game, not realising that it's rather hypocrite to think that they have some sort of "right" to have a good artist work for them, but that it's "arrogant/selfish" if a good artist declines their project for being unprofessional.
(Both have happened to me, sadly; I find it funny rather than upsetting though.)
this is what gets me upset! I also had the approach saying, "I really don't care, they are only fake-pokemon..." but when people start claiming my designs as their own, and NOT giving credit.. thats just full of crap! those 2 rules you set up, i also tried to base my ideas upon in terms of use... but that kind of failed.
Personally I think that most measures that help against this tend to make it more difficult for honest/nice people and fans to enjoy one's work properly, as those who want to steal, will do it.
Although it's entirely your own choice in how you handle it, personally I try never to be rude to people who at least have the courtesy to ask nicely, even if I decide to decline them.
